This 1:76 scale bus model depicts Mercedes-Benz O305 Mark III no. 2619 on Route 104 to Mayfield. 181 Mark III buses were delivered to Sydney and Newcastle between 1981 and 1983. 2619 was built in 1982 and operated in Newcastle for 21 years before moving to Sydney for six more years.

2619 was originally delivered in the Urban Transit Authority livery and later changed to the State Transit Authority scheme. This model depicts the bus in the latter livery. Route 104 commenced in 1940 between Newcastle and Mayfield servicing residents living away from Maitland Road. It was diverted via Carrington in 1988 and extended to Jesmond in 2002.
