On an average working day the Sydney Buses fleet of over 1,700 buses, the largest fleet in Australia, delivers over 600,000 passengers to their destinations all across Sydney. Sydney Buses introduced its first Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) bus in 1989. The 300 Mercedes Benz 0405NH buses enable Sydney Buses to operate CNG buses out of five of its Sydney depots.

These environment-friendly vehicles have emissions levels equivalent to latest Euro 3 diesel standards. The buses are ultra low floor, wheelchair accessible, air-conditioned and seat 44 passengers with a maximum capacity of 66 passengers.

The Route 38- is one of Sydney’s best known and patronised bus routes. The 380 operates 24 hours a day between the City and the famous Sydney icon of Bondi beach.
